Found You

(Verse I)
I'm barely holding on
So I turn to the skies
To try and right my wrongs
To help me dry my eyes
I haven't asked for much
But I have nowhere to turn
I'm sorry we lost touch
But now I have learned

(Pre-Chorus)
Velvet dawn, help me move on
Part the clouds, undo my wrongs
I need your strength, so I can think

(Chorus)
Above in seas of blue
I have this picture of you
Hugging my mom so tight
Casting infinite light
I watch the pace of the clouds
As they wash away my doubts
Revealing this new found truth
Now that I found you

(Verse II)
In nature so majestic
There are answers all around
Whispers in the distance
Telling me to listen now

(Pre-Chorus)

(Chorus)

(Bridge)
I'm ready, please take my hand
So we can find the promise land
I'm ready, to follow your lead
Open the gates so I can be freed

(Chorus)

Life Got In The Way

(Verse I)
The city lights
Race past my eyes
Moving at the speed of sound
Representing the daily grind
Sometimes we're to blame
For not staying in touch
And for that I'm ashamed
'Cuz I miss you so much

(Chorus)
When the years count the days
That we've been apart
I haven't heard your voice
Since two years ago March
I meant to call you, I meant to write
We could've reminisced about old times
Now there's no excuse I can say
Life got in the way

(Verse II)
Now these miles
Have divided our lives
Two separate agendas
Seen through different eyes
Now it's not easy
Doing this on our own
But only time will tell
If we're ever coming home

(Chorus)

(Bridge)
We think time is ample
We always want it to move
But eventually you run out
With everything to lose

(Chorus)

Move On

(Verse I)
Sometimes my vision is blurred
Sometimes the lines aren’t defined
On the tightrope between right and wrong
I find myself leaning to one side
Then I see your hand outstretched
To pull me out of this mess
When all I want is to start over
When all I want to do is confess

(Chorus)
Help me see
The person I know I can be
Help me breathe
When all I want’s some relief
Time and again I’ve been right here
Stuck in a rut with a future unclear
Now I rub my eyes to the rising dawn
With you, I’m ready to move on

(Verse II)
Let the past go ‘cuz you can change
I have to convince myself everyday
All the wreckage I’m leaving behind
Is not the destiny you had in mind

(Chorus)

(Bridge)
There’s no better time than now
To cut ties with all my doubts
And walk the path intended for me
Take my hand and I’ll follow your lead

(Chorus)

Your Shoulder

(Verse I)
Can I weave anymore into this tapestry
To make it all coalesce
It seems the parts are always fleeting
Now everything’s a mess
But you’re the beacon to see me through
This darkness I dwell at times
You give me hope when I can’t stand
Myself it’s all in my mind

(Chorus I)
Your shoulder, can it hold me up for awhile
I need a place to cry, I need a place to hide
To hold her, always makes me smile
Helps me to breathe, makes me believe
When I need somewhere to lean
Your shoulder’s always been there, for me

(Verse II)
You’re a call away but so hard to reach
Life gets busy sometimes
I don’t want much but sometimes I need
More than you have in time

(Chorus II)
Your shoulder, when I need to find peace
And somewhere to cry, somewhere to hide
Just to hold her, puts my mind at ease
Helps me to breathe, makes me believe
Now when I need somewhere to lean
Your shoulder’s always been there, for me

(Bridge)
These ropes are fraying so I’m not swaying
On this bridge anymore
You’re my rails when all else fails
You’re my support

(Chorus II)

(Chorus I)

New Life

(Verse I)
I can’t begin to tell you
Where it all went wrong
I tried the straight and narrow
But now that path was gone
Hindsight’s a funny thing
It’ll haunt you in your sleep
They say don’t judge a person’s past
But you’re always reminding me

(Chorus)
Now the company you used to keep
Will slowly disappear
And all you had in common
Was living in fear
So I’m cutting these ties, breaking these chains
Leaving this behind for better ways
I need to go now and do what is right
Start over, in this new life

(Verse II)
Not everyone can relate
All my demons I lose count
Can love conquer the hate
Can love save me now

(Chorus)

(Bridge)
So much carnage left behind
In the wreckage there is pain
The wounds will heal in time
I don’t want this life to be in vain

(Chorus)

Without Your Love

(Verse I)
I thought it’d be easy to sweep under the rug
Along with my heart there with your love
Now this makes me uneasy all I'm thinking of
So how do I go on without your love

(Pre-Chorus)
Our love is strong, sometimes blinded
Is there hope for two hearts divided
Everything’s a mess, now I confess

(Chorus)
Without your love I can’t rise above
Help heal wounds that lost so much blood
Now I never realized what empty could mean
Without your love I just don’t like this version, of me

(Verse II)
You were always there where I could reach
So much taught yet so much to teach
You are my rock my refuge in the night
That one shining star guiding ever so bright

(Pre-Chorus)

(Chorus)

(Bridge)
Sometimes we don’t stick
Sometimes we don’t make sense
Everything’s happened so quick
I don’t want to be the past tense

(Chorus)
